Random stuff

Hello again! Mom has been hit by the dreaded lurgy so that's why she hasn't been blogging. She's been having barking competitions with me, but she's got a long way to go till she can bark as well as I can!

Anyway, the rainy weather and the lurgy meant we spent a lot of time in bed this weekend! I discovered that you can also lie under blankets - not just on top of them.



Gus and I got a new toy and proceeded to destroy it within 32 seconds.



Remember my friend, Painter? He was the puppy I played with under the table on my first Mall walk. He was fangless then. Well he's grown up so much... he's all of 7 months now.



And little Odin? Well he's the same size as me almost!



This cute girl is called Nuri (which means light) and she's the softest natured pup we've ever met. She's going to be a most wonderful guide dog some day.

The Udder Sight of Life

Hi all!

Check out my DAD! He's wearing his super t-shirt from the States sent by Cabana's mom. Isn't it just the coolest?



On Saturday SAGA held an event at the Irene Village Mall. The event was called the UDDER SIGHT of life. Irene is well known for its dairy farm so the mall is decorated accordingly!



This was a celebrity event with people from the public competing with celebs in blind man's bluff and learning what it's like to be lead by a guide dog.



Mom says that one day when I'm big I'm going to have my own harness, just like this big guy!



Then I'll have an important job. I'll be giving someone independence and mobility, not to mention lotsaluv and licks!



There's a whole bunch of us applying for this kind of work! Boy it was fun hanging out with these guys!



I felt pretty important, because everyone wanted to take my picture. I had to sit and smile a lot. Here I am getting my picture taken by a press photographer with a radio celebrity.



All that smiling made me pretty tired, so I took 40 winks while Mom and Dad had their coffee and breakfast break.



Later on Mom took me for a lovely walk. Here I am practicing my "sit-stay" command.



Can I help it if I'm smart, good looking and irresistably cuddly???

Family Reunion

Hey Everyone! I'm back. My trip to the kennels was lots of fun. I had a buddy with me in the pen. He was slightly younger, but we played so nicely together. The trainers told Mom that I'm doing really well. Yay! I like to make Mom proud. When I saw mom I was so happy, my whole body wagged.

"Kennels" is far away from home so I snuggled down for a snooze on the way home.




Gus was so happy to see me. He covered me with kisses. Ok, ok, ok, NOW can I go through the door, please?


It was a happy family reunion!


I've just turned 6 months old. Mom can't believe how quickly I've grown and what a clever boy I am.

Happy Sunday

I've had fun playing with Gus today. I will miss him this week because Mom says I have to go to Kennels. Kennels is where I was born. I haven't been back there since Mom fetched me when I was 7 weeks old. My Guide dog puppy supervisor told Mom that it's good for me to visit Kennels now and again so that I can get used to it because that's where I'm gonna live while I train to be a guide dog. Mom promised that she'll fetch me on Friday morning. She says she's gonna miss me SO much and keeps calling me for cuddles. I think she's trying to store them up for the week while I'm away. I'll see you all later. Lotsalicks.

Farm boy!

Today Mom took Gus and me to a friend's farm. We got to go for a long walk and play with our friend Abby (the Weimeraner).

We stopped to get a drink at the water trough and Gus decided it was way too hot for just a drink so he climbed right in! The rest of us were a bit more polite!



They had these huge dogs there - Mom called them Horses - that were so much fun to chase! No one else thought this was a good idea - not even Abby and Gus, the spoilsports! Anyway! I think I like farm life, there's so much poop to munch!

Autumn cometh

Mom says that autumn is coming. The leaves are starting to turn.



I'm not really sure what autumn is, so I'll do some investigating on my own. I'm sure that I'll find out some interesting things in Gran's garden!

Oh... what's this... some fallen leaves! Bet they're tasty!



Not as tasty as my leash though!



Darn leash! Always tries to attack me!



At least Dad was around to subdue the killer leash and make everything okay again!
