Puppies, puppies everywhere!

On Friday Mom and Dad took me to a mall to meet my litter mates (I'm one of 9 from "K" Litter!) as well as all my "P" friends. It was so much fun! I got my learner guide dog jacket as well. Mom thinks I'll grow out of it in about a week, but then I'll get another one.

General doggie chaos

We had to walk in nice straight lines and not go into the yummy smelling shops. I really wanted to be first in line and tried very hard to be the first one every time. I walked beautifully at the front of the line, but I am not really a good follower. Mom is going to have to work on that. There were some scary stairs to climb and we had to go up in an elevator and look over a balcony. I'm definitely not scared of heights.

We also had to sit nice and straight and learn to be good. Mom is very proud of me. I just need to learn not to scoot backwards while sitting... but it's so much fun.

Afterwards the people sat at the restaurant having drinks and the nice restaurant owners brought us some water. Then we got to play under the table. We're not actually supposed to play under the table, but with 11 of your best friends under the table, how can they expect me not to enjoy myself? This is me with Painter. He's two weeks older than me. He's a lot of fun to play with. He's lost his bottom fang so he doesn't bite sore.

Can't wait for next time!

Big School

I went to school for the first time today with genuine live kids. They are great and want to pet me all the time, which makes me very happy and my tail wags constantly. I was on my best behaviour, showing them how to be a good 6th grader and to sit quietly in class and do what Mom says (like "lie down and chew a hoof!") I even attended two staff meetings and a swimming lesson. Phew! School is pretty tiring stuff. I was completely exhausted after all that so Mom brought me home to relax and then she went back for parents' evening.

Tomorrow I am going to see all my brothers and sisters for the first time since I left SAGA. All 9 "K" litter and 3 "P" litter puppies are meeting at a mall. It should be a fantastic time. I'll also be getting my official Guide Dog Puppy in Training Jacket so that I can go to all the places most puppies only ever dream of going! Mom and Dad are both coming with me - they are very excited to see how all my siblings have grown. I'll remind them to take pics to show you all. But for now, I need some sleep so I can be fresh for school tomorrow. G'night.

Say NO to drugs!

I just got back from visiting the vet down the road. Mom and he were having late night conversations last night about me. I was very schneaky and managed to grab some human medication to eat. This made me sick and my folks were frantic. They really thought they had "baby-proofed" everything, but I proved that labradors can get into anything because we're very determined. Luckily, the kind vet has given me a clean bill of health and my very fatigued and shocked parents are very grateful. Just say NO!

Moving house

My big little sister decided she likes my basket better than hers, so Mom and Dad bought me a new basket since I'm growing so fast and will need a bigger one soon anyway. Check out my new pad! I like it a lot.

Back to school

Mom goes back to school from Friday (a bit later than all her colleagues at the old school!), so this week I've been with her to go and sort out her classroom. There are so many interesting smells there. There are also lots of stairs which are very hard for me and completely tire me out! I've been very good and mostly just sat or lain quietly at her desk. Mom is very lucky because her class has its own store room with a sink so I can get water easily and hide away if the kids get too mischievious. However, there are too many things I could get up to in there so I'll probably just sit by her desk and be a good boy. I'm all set for school though. Check out my bag. There are yummy things in there and toys and poop bags and all kinds of fun stuff. This going back to school thing rocks!

Job Application Portfolio

Dear Hollywood Director

I'm thinking of moving to Hollywood so that I can become a big star, so I'm writing to you to see if you might have a job for me.

My mom thinks I'm a natural. From previous blogs you can see that I'd be great in a series like "Prison Break" or "Shark Tale 2!" I think I could try out for Shrek 4. This is my "Puss-in-boots" impression.

I could also do sleeping beauty.

I'm a great kisser - so I'd be awesome at romantic movies.

I'm pretty versatile and would consider investigative thrillers like "The Bone Collector" also.

I'm quite the family man - so I could do family sitcoms.

I'm very keen to drive the environmental / green movement so I have loads of great ideas about fantasy movies with a "green" theme. Alternatively, I could also be great as the next "Hulk".

I trust that you'll recognise my fabulous talent and contact me in the near future to discuss my prospects. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours faithfully

Kengi B

JAWS!

This is my impression of "JAWS"! I discovered that catching bubbles is super fun!

What a good boy!

See how I practice "sit" and "stay" with my big brother. Actually he's just focused on the ball! I'm getting really good at puppy pushups.

Growing fast

I don't know what Mom is feeding me, but it must have lots of vitamins in it. I'm growing so fast that I can't get through the gate anymore. I tried, I really did, but I got completely stuck and had to get rescued by Dad.
